TOMMY

My name is Eileen Mann, and I am a St Croix, USVI resident, a Ruff Night Hair of the Dog bartender, a Ruff Start STX foster, and the proudest of all, I am a Ruff Start STX adopter.
My adoption story comes in December of 2024. I had a few Ruff Start fosters, and this beautiful girl, Ginger, came to me because her fosters were leaving the island and heading back to TN. After a few days at home, they realized they couldn’t live without their Ginger girl. It was at that moment that I realized, as much as I love to be a foster and give my love away, I also needed forever love.
I contacted the person in the know, and I was directed to the most handsome redheaded little boy named Tommy. Tommy is from a litter that was known, so he was taken in as soon as he could. He was then fostered by the best of the best, in my opinion, and I was so lucky because she raised him to be such a little gentleman.
Now, as of today, I have had Tommy for 8 months, and he is just the sweetest boy. He loves his belly rubs and snuggles. His favorite thing is that he gets to be part of our foster team! He loves having new dogs come in that are afraid, and he can let them know that it’s ok. He loves to go to Ruff Night Bar and visit with the other dogs, and he loves making people smile.
As much as we try to adopt all of the dogs off the Island, some are meant to have their furever home right here in Frederiksted.

Lead a small Sunday school class and needed something my preteens would not roll their eyes at, the Bible cryptogram maker with Psalm 23 was the first worksheet they actually finished without being reminded.
I pick shorter verses for the younger table and it works there too.
