Frequently Asked Questions
What are the requirements for adopting?
Adopters must be 21 or older and have a stable living environment. All existing pets in the home must be spayed/neutered and up-to-date on vaccines.
Do you ship dogs to the mainland U.S.?
Yes! We frequently coordinate flights for our dogs to their forever homes across the states. We use volunteer flight escorts and commercial cargo to ensure your new best friend arrives safely.
What support do you provide after adoption?
We offer post-adoption support including advice on decompression, basic training tips, and a community of fellow foster/adoptive parents to help you and your dog settle in.
Can I meet the dog before adopting?
If the dog is locally fostered on St. Croix, we can arrange a meet-and-greet. For long-distance adoptions, we provide detailed videos and virtual sessions with the foster family.
